THINK pens is getting its groove on with a brand new collection called Hippie. This limited edition includes 888 each, fountain pens ($275) and rollerballs ($250). The hemp-inspired resin pens are accented with silver vermeil, and the clips are in the shape of a cannabis leaf. The phrase "Absolf*ckinlutely" is highlighted on the matte silver bands. Yesterday was Johnny Cash's eightieth birthday, and according to my sources at Think pens, the limited edition Johnny Cash fountain pens released a few months ago are sold out. But take heart. There are a few rollerball pens still available, priced at under $300.
The black Italian resin pen has striped wood-grain accents inspired by the detailing on Cash's guitar. The clip recalls the guitar's fret board, and Cash's signature is featured on the band. Just 888 fountain pens were created. Each comes in a black lacquer commemorative box.
Master of martial arts, Bruce Lee, is paid homage by the newest pen from THINK. Each pen features a red cap adorned with a golden dragon clip, and the trademarked Bruce Lee symbol atop the pen is complemented by the golden cap band with his name in raised lettering. This is a limited edition of 888 fountain pens, each with a medium nib, and 888 rollerball pens. The fountain pen is priced at $315, and the rollerball is priced at $295.
